About this product
Durvadi Thailam is the one to reach for when skin or scalp has gone dry and irritable, which in Kerala usually means either too much sun or too much of the dry season. It is built on durva, the creeping grass used across Ayurveda for its cooling action, carried in coconut and sesame oil with neeli, bhringraj, amla, brahmi and yashtimadhu.
The effect people describe first is the cooling, which arrives within a minute or two of application. Underneath that it is a nourishing oil rather than a soothing one, so it suits a routine rather than an emergency.
How to use it
Apply to the affected skin or to the scalp and leave for thirty minutes to an hour before bathing. It can be used daily where dryness is persistent.
