About this product
The uduthuketti is what you train in. It is a long cloth wrapped and knotted at the waist, cut so that the legs are completely free through the deep stances and the kicks, which ordinary clothing is not. Students who arrive in shorts usually switch within the first week, once they have tried a full Meypayattu sequence.
Ours are made for practice rather than for display: breathable, hard-wearing, and easy to wash, which matters when they are worn twice a day in Kerala.

- 33.5 inch waist, ankle length
Length is a matter of custom rather than function; senior practitioners generally wear it longer. If you are between sizes, take the larger one, because the wrap takes up the difference.
If you are coming to train with us you can buy one here on arrival rather than carrying it.
